For Black Matcha, we teamed up with Le Parti du Thé. Together, we selected a ceremonial-grade matcha, harvested in Kagoshima and stone-ground, and a roasted hojicha with round, toasty notes. You consume the whole leaf: its polyphenols, catechins and theanine are all in your cup.

Yes, a little: 24mg of theine per cup, compared with about 90mg for a cup of filter coffee. Enough for a gentle lift, not enough to make you jittery. If you want zero caffeine, try our Natural Chicory.
We advise against it: Black Matcha contains theine. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, Natural Chicory is the one for you. It's not recommended for children either.
